Ralf Busse will be taking over as Director of Nursing at Stuttgart's Robert-Bosch-Hospital (German abbreviation RBK), with its RBK Lung Centre Stuttgart (Schillerhöhe Clinic) and Clinic Charlottenhaus and will be succeeding Robert Jeske.
Ralf Busse will be taking over as Director of Nursing at Stuttgart's Robert-Bosch-Hospital (German abbreviation RBK), with its RBK Lung Centre Stuttgart (Schillerhöhe Clinic) and Clinic Charlottenhaus, on 01 July 2022. He will be succeeding Robert Jeske, who left the hospital on 30/11/2021.
Ralf Busse has held the position of Director of Nursing at the Barmherzige Brüder Hospital in Regensburg for more than eight years. Following a long career in various leading nursing care positions, he has held several management positions both in the hospital sector as well as for a hospice. Being a business economist with an MBA degree, he successfully combines nursing knowledge with economic expertise. The 56-year-old is married and has one child.
The shortage of skilled workers will be one of the future focal points for RBK's designated Director of Nursing: "Here, all measures that can relieve the tense situation will have priority." And in this regard, digitalisation should be mentioned as being of key importance. It could relieve the personnel's workload, for instance when it comes to minimising and simplifying the documentation effort. Quality assurance in nursing is another important matter for him "so that we use appropriate measuring instruments to provide proof of the quality of our provided nursing care.
Prof Mark Dominik Alscher, Medical Director of the RBK: "It is truly a stroke of luck that we could recruit Ralf Busse, who is a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing, for RBK. Until he comes on board, Christel Idler will be acting as acting Director of Nursing. We would like to express our sincere thanks for her commitment."
