Dr. med. Mridul Agrawal

Dr. med. Mridul Agrawal is a physician, scientist and entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of iuvando Health, which supports patients with cancer in gaining access to innovative therapies in clinical trials. Agrawal holds a doctorate in medicine and health economics and studied at the University of Heidelberg. Further stages of his medical studies included Zurich and Baltimore. After completing his studies, Agrawal worked as a physician and scientist in the field of cancer medicine, most recently at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School in Boston (USA). Agrawal has received numerous prestigious national and international awards for his work as a scientist and entrepreneur, including “Impact Entrepreneur of The Year 2024” from the German Startups Association.

Dr. med. Lutz Philipp Breitling

Dr. med. Lutz Philipp Breitling was born in Hanover and completed his medical studies at the University of Tübingen in 2005. After several years of epidemiological research at the German Cancer Research Center, he embarked on a clinical career and specialized in internal medicine and infectious diseases. He currently divides his time between patient care as a doctor at Mannheim Prison and providing medical advice on prison medicine as a consultant at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Justice and Migration. In the latter role, he tries to advocate for the systematic improvement of healthcare for people deprived of their liberty, who are highly affected by unequal treatment and discrimination.

Dr. med. Raquel Correia

Dr. med. Raquel Correia is Chief Medical Officer at PromTime, a leading organization in France that implements PROM registries and VBHC models nationwide on behalf of the French Ministry of Health and the national payer. She leads the VBHC postgraduate program at Université Paris Cité and trains clinicians and decision makers. Living in Berlin, she practices general medicine in France and Switzerland. She also chairs the AMEE Technology Enhanced Learning Committee and conducts research on medical education and AI. She holds an M.D. (Universidade de Lisboa), an MBA (Quantic Business School) and an M.Sc. in Learning Sciences (Université Paris Cité) as well as certificates from Oxford University and Harvard Business School in value-based healthcare and disruptive strategy.

Dr. med. Mona Dreesmann

Dr. med. Mona Dreesmann is a specialist in paediatrics with a specialization in developmental, neuro- and social paediatrics. In her dissertation, she examined the care and psychosocial situation of children and adolescents with spina bifida in Germany and Chile. Since 2009, she has been head of the Clinic for Neuro- and Social Pediatrics at the Potsdam Children's Hospital, where she established a pediatric epilepsy center. She focuses on epilepsy in the daycare and school context, which she researches with the University of Potsdam. She is committed to interdisciplinary, participation-oriented care and is a board member of the German Society for Social Pediatrics. In 2020, she co-founded the “Action Alliance for a Needs-Based Provision of Assistive Products”, which brought about a change in the law for faster and less bureaucratic care for children and young people.

Kai Lanz

Kai Lanz is co-founder and managing director of the non-profit organization Krisenchat, which was launched in 2020. Following the founding of its predecessor Exclamo, Krisenchat developed into a 24/7 chat-based crisis counseling hotline in Germany. The service now also includes “Krisenchat Ukrainian”, a crisis counseling service for Ukrainians affected by the war, as well as a broad psychoeducation service on social media that reaches millions of users. Its mission is to expand access to support for mental wellbeing through scalable solutions and to help people develop deeper and more fulfilling relationships with themselves, others and their environment.

Christian Pfeuffer

Christian Pfeuffer is a digital health strategist and patient advocate with experience in developing patient-centered solutions. He combines academic knowledge with professional practice and holds an M.Sc. in Business Administration. In his research, he investigated value creation through patient engagement in virtual healthcare solutions. He has worked with the pharmaceutical and medical technology industries and promotes collaborations to improve healthcare systems. Since 2018, he has been involved in patient advocacy, including SMA Europe, EURORDIS and the German Muscular Dystrophy Association as well as the HEU-EFS partnership. As a speaker at international events, he advocates for the patient perspective in innovations. His life with spinal muscular atrophy gives him a deep understanding of healthcare challenges.

Dr. med. Andreas Welker

Dr. med. Andreas Welker is a public health expert and a physician. He studied medicine at the University of Heidelberg, graduated in 2006 and received his doctorate summa cum laude in 2007 on transport proteins of the liver membrane under oxidative stress. At the beginning of his medical career, he gained experience in internal medicine and anesthesiology. He has been working in the public health service in Baden-Württemberg since 2014. In addition to being head of the health protection department, he was deputy head of the health department in the Rhine-Neckar district. Later worked as deputy head of department at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration. Currently he is head of the health department for the Rhine-Neckar district, including the city of Heidelberg. He also has a Master's degree in Public Health and gives lectures on crisis management and disaster control.
